Bernstein Conference 2012

The Bernstein Conference is the central scientific meeting of the Bernstein Network Computational Neuroscience. In 2012, the conference takes place from September 12 - 14 in Munich, in conjunction with the 5th International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF) Congress of Neuroinformatics.

Bernstein Award:
As in previous years, the conference will be opened by the official announcement and presentation of the Bernstein Award, and will be followed by a PhD student and Postdoc Symposium.
Bernstein Bazar for Journalists:
Following the prize giving ceremony of the Bernstein Award, journalists are invited to participate in the "Bernstein Bazar", offering an overview over current topics in the neurosciences and the opportunity for personal concersations with the Bernstein Awardee and other selected brain researchers.

NeuroVision Film Contest:
For the second time, the Bernstein Conference will feature the "NeuroVision Film Contest". Two awards –each endowed with 500 € -will be presented for the best visualization of neuroscience, one for the most creative handling of the topic and one for the greatest informational value. Contest winners will be selected and announced during the Bernstein Conference 2012. Further information regarding submission deadline, contest conditions, etc. on the contest’s website.
Brains for Brains Award:
As in past years, the conference will also feature the Award Ceremony of the 2012 edition of the Brains for Brains Young Researchers Computational Neuroscience Award, conferred by the Bernstein Computational Neuroscience Association.
