International Summer School for Computational Neuroscience in Freiburg for the next three years

The International Summer School "Advanced Course in Computational Neuroscience (ACCN)" will be hosted by the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Freiburg from 2008 to 2010. Opening of the BCCN Berlin

7 and 8 May 2007 saw the grand opening of the freshly renovated building of the Bernstein Center on the Life Sciences campus in Berlin-Mitte with words of welcome from politicians and scientists and inaugural lectures by four new professors, namely Michael Brecht (Humboldt University Berlin), John-Dylan Haynes (Charité Berlin), Felix Wichmann (Technical University Berlin) and Laurenz Wiskott (Humboldt University Berlin). This was followed on 9 May by the 11th Berlin Colloquium of the Daimler-Benz Foundation entitled "Mind research - what our brain reveals about our thoughts".  Read More…

Felix Wichmann assumes Bernstein professorship in Berlin

In April 2007, Felix Wichmann takes up the professorship "Modelling of Cognitive Processes", based at the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Berlin. For the first five years, this chair is funded by the BMBF (German Federal Ministry of Education and Research) and will then be continued by the Technical University Berlin (April 2007).  Read More…
